Our mission
Improving the long-term health, resilience, and reputation of farmers, rural communities, and freshwater environments.
We work alongside farmers and catchment communities to support and strengthen local environmental efforts – combining local knowledge with scientific research, collecting data to monitor waterway health, sharing tools and information, and promoting practical, sustainable practices that benefit both the environment and farm businesses.
Who we support
Rangitīkei Rivers Catchment Collective covers three river catchments within the Horizons Regional Council area – the Rangitīkei, Turakina and Whangaehu. The catchment spans approximately 700,000 hectares and includes around 2,800 farms. We support farmers and catchment communities across the Rangitīkei, with a focus on areas defined by local waterways, community halls, and schools.
